Jean-Marc Levy

A French-born free spirit with a love for all things American, Jean-Marc Levy knew from a young age he wanted to make his way to the states, but he always thought baseball, not hair, would take him there. As a boy growing up in Nice, France, Jean-Marc was infatuated with the American pastime; it wasn’t until the age of 15 that his love for hair – an interest that some might argue is at the opposite end of the sports spectrum – was sparked as a result of walking his older sister home from the salon where she worked as a stylist. He eventually started his apprenticeship and went through over ten years of hair education in France – all the while splitting his time between the salon and the field, where he played first baseman and catcher for France’s National Team.

In 2000, Jean-Marc began training under the world-renowned Eric Zemmour of L’Oreal Studios, and, in 2006, brought his unprecedented creativity and experience stateside where he accepted a position at the José Eber Salon in Las Vegas and Christophe of Beverly Hills before moving to Red Rock Salon and Spa. He has since received a number of recognitions for his work as a hairstylist, including being named one of the Top Four French Stylists Working in America by L’Eclaireur Magazine. His favorite part of the gig, though? Helping clients – especially women – feel more confident and comfortable in their skin.

Jean-Marc now works as a freelance master stylist for an exclusive clientele and has over 30 years of experience in the hairstyling world. When he’s not behind the chair working his oh-so-Francais magic, you can find him in his backyard meditating, or at one of his favorite local wine bars enjoying good music and great vino with friends. Few things in this world inspire him more than travelling, exploring new ideas, and his son (who was named one of the top 20 baseball players in France).
